Project: Plasma screen display system
The London Eye has 32 capsules each of which hold 25 people carrying 1,500 passengers every hour. Between 11.00 am – 5.00pm The British Airways London Eye is at its busiest, with thousands of visitors.
TouchVision were tasked to design and install a multi screen display system in the Ticket Office adjacent to the London Eye which could be used to inform and entertain passengers. The two main criteria were to supply a user-friendly solution that would enable the client to easily update and control screen content and to provide a digital network with the flexibility to expand.
TouchVision installed Plasma screens combined with their own system, ViewFlex, a multi media server that enables screens to be divided into multiple zones with each zone showing independent content. Information such as live TV, flash animations, web pages or video files can be displayed.
London Eye said "We needed a solution that could be expandable over time and empower us to control our screen content. The system TouchVision have provided enables us to easily change our screen layouts with total flexibility in the type of content we present. TouchVision listened to our requirements and provided a solution that surpassed them"
