The Welsh Institute of Minimal Access Therapy (WIMAT) is based primarily in Cardiff and the surrounding areas. Located mainly at Cardiff University they specialise in non-invasive operating procedures.
Providing student training through the use of fibre optic links surgeons and students can communicate through a 2-way link to give question and answer sessions throughout surgery.
TouchVision have supplied and installed 4 systems in within the WIMAT group. Each system comprises of a camera system - relayed to the graduate viewing room - enabling various camera views inc endoscope cameras, a 2-way audio link and recording facility.
